    I am sitting here in a Borders getting some work done, not really paying attention to anything other than the PHP file I was editing when all of a sudden, I get distracted by a fairly good looking woman at the counter and accidentally deleted a chunk of code having been highlighted with my mouse, of course not realizing the deletion, continue to work and save my file.

    Creating Proper Sidebars

    I was browsing around the net, random surfing mostly, and came accross this particular post over at skelliewag.org on creating sidebars that actually work! After revamping this side and actually putting some serious thought into the sidebars effectiveness in the site, I am happy to see that there are others out there preaching the importantance of having a coherent sidebar with actual information people will use.

    In this article I have kept it fairly high level regarding the lack of print-worth websites, and my attempt at shedding some light on how easy it is to prep your site for printing. Some very simple concepts which involve using a print.css file are all thats needed to create an easy to read printout of your article.

    A few weeks ago I picked up the book Microserfs which was on loan from a good friend of mine. He mentioned it would be a quick read, not full of much per say, but enjoyable none the less. This coming from an Ian Rankin reader, who also loves Anthony Bourdain citings.

    Modifying K2 Gravatar AJAX Code To Function

    I was testing the built in Gravatar support for the K2 platform today when I noticed that the URL structure was getting broken up when attempting to output the PHP code required in the comments-ajax.php file. The end result were no Gravatars showing up properly with the exception of Wordpress default avatars.

    Enhancements To RSS Feeds With Flickr & K2

    I have implemented the Flickr RSS plugin for WordPress which surprisingly enough, works quite well as an SBM (Side Bar Module) with the K2 platform. It displays a nice RSS feed link, and the ability to display your photo-stream, with view options, or select sets that you want to be displayed.
