I was browsing around the net, random surfing mostly, and came accross this particular post over at skelliewag.org on creating sidebars that actually work! After revamping this side and actually putting some serious thought into the sidebars effectiveness in the site, I am happy to see that there are others out there preaching the importantance of having a coherent sidebar with actual information people will use. All too often we find ourselves neglecting these, putting everything and ANYTHING up there in hopes that users will “figure it out.” The problem, is that they don’t and we are stuck with users staying on the site for far less than 30 seconds.

In fact, take a look at a lot of the content he has over there. I am sure there will be tips and techniques that you may never have thought about in this technobabble age of the social internet.
